What the prompt does

Your AI creates a note called “Gift ideas” in your Personal folder, or finds the one you already have, and learns how to keep it. Save ideas the moment you hear them, so the next birthday is easy.

Paste it once into a chat in ChatGPT or Claude with Amber Notes turned on, or into Claude Code.

Then just talk to it

First, look for a note called "Gift ideas" in my Amber Notes with search_notes. If there isn't one, create it with create_note in the folder "Personal", using exactly the markdown at the end of this message, the  line included (it gives the table's columns their types). Then: Use my Amber Notes note "Gift ideas". Whenever I mention something someone would like, add a row with log_table_row: Person, Occasion if I said one, Idea, Budget as a number if I gave one, and Status Idea. Keep what I learn about each person (sizes, favourite things, what they already have) under "Sizes and likes" with append_to_note. Before a birthday, when I ask, read the note and suggest three gifts within budget that fit what's there. When I buy one, set its Status to Bought with edit_note.
