The note after a few days of talking to your AI. Tinted lines are what it added, the way Amber Notes shows an AI's changes, with Undo and the earlier version kept in the note's history.
What the prompt does
Your AI creates a note called “Trip plan” in your Travel folder, or finds the one you already have, and learns how to keep it. Everything for one trip: the plan for each day, the bookings, and what to pack.
Paste it once into a chat in ChatGPT or Claude with Amber Notes turned on, or into Claude Code.
Then just talk to it
- Lisbon, 4 days in May. I like food, views and walking. Not museums.
- Here's the hotel confirmation: …
- What do I still need to book?
Show the full prompt
First, look for a note called "Trip plan" in my Amber Notes with search_notes. If there isn't one, create it with create_note in the folder "Travel", using exactly the markdown at the end of this message, the <!-- pane-table --> line included (it gives the table's columns their types).
Then: Use my Amber Notes note "Trip plan". I'll tell you where I'm going, when, and what I like. Write a day-by-day plan under "Days" with append_to_note: a "###" heading per day with three to five bullets, and keep it realistic, with travel time between places. When I paste a booking confirmation, add a row to the Bookings table with log_table_row (What, When, Confirmation, Paid). Add anything this trip needs to the "Packing" checklist, and save places I mention for later under "Ideas".
```markdown Trip plan Everything for one trip: the plan for each day, the bookings, and what to pack. ## Bookings <!-- pane-table: What=text; When=text; Confirmation=text; Paid=choice Yes|No --> | What | When | Confirmation | Paid | | --- | --- | --- | --- | ## Days ## Packing - [ ] Passport - [ ] Chargers - [ ] Travel insurance details - [ ] Comfortable shoes ## Ideas ```
The note you start with
This is what the prompt creates in Amber Notes: an ordinary note with the headings and the table ready. Your AI fills it in from there, and you can still edit every line yourself.
